Masters and PhD Candidates
Congratulations on completing your degree! Complete the following steps to receive your diploma and, if you would like, attend commencement to celebrate your achievement.
Apply for completion.
Apply for completion in Joe’SS. Check the Dates & Deadlines to make sure you apply before the deadline.
Make sure you clear for graduation.
Run your online MyDegree Audit Report (DARS). Be sure you run the correct degree program audit — every program you have ever been enrolled in at S&T will show up when you search for your DARS. Step by step instructions of how to check your DARS, verify your name and address where your diploma will be mailed* on Joe’SS (Self Service > Student Center > Personal Information). Make sure to inform the Registrar’s Office of any discrepancies (email registrar@mst.edu or call 573-341-4181; Diploma Address Change form).
*Diplomas will be mailed 6-8 weeks after the semester closes.

Attending Commencement?
Make sure to order your Commencement regalia from The S&T Store. You will need to order a cap, gown, tassel, and hood. All master’s caps, gowns, and tassels are black.
Master’s hood colors are as follows:
Engineering and Computer Science – Orange | Science – Yellow | Business – Drab
Contact the Bookstore Manager, Mark Gallardo, and he will ship the items to you, or you can pick them up on the day of commencement. If you pick up your gown, it will be in its package, not pressed or ironed.
